"False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crime." - Cesare Beccaria
"As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives [only] moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion to your walks." -- Thomas Jefferson, writing to his teenaged nephew.
"Each year the teacher held up my pathetically barren book as an example for all the other pupils of how not to support your country and they would all laugh - that peculiar braying laugh that exists only when children are invited by adults to enjoy themselves at the expense of another child. It is the cruellest laugh in the world." Bryson, Bill, "The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid" (Australia: Griffin Press, 2006), 165.

The Department of Cotton Wool. A very satirical look at the dangers of "big Government". Whilst not a member of the LDP myself, this little video my cousin wrote and authorised is simply hysterical.

Well, I've finally gotten around to getting this thing up and running again. Once again this is a work in progress so things are probably going to change a bit as things go along.
This website should also be used for the VINCE project, with links and stuff added as that moves along.
Otherwise I'll try and put up family info as well for everyone else!
